
VAIDEHI MODY
As a Senior Planning Consultant for the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), Vaidehi manages the agency’s Connected Communities program, implementing public-private partnerships, participatory design practices, and site planning and policy development. She manages strategic partnership projects with agencies, nonprofits and the private sector, and facilitates grants to further investments into public housing. Her work strives to bridge the gap between policy, community, and planning to develop creative placemaking and placekeeping strategies.
Prior to her role at NYCHA, she has consulted for local urban design advocacies and non-profits’ public plaza programming plans. She holds a M.S. in Urban Placemaking and Management from Pratt Institute in New York, along with a Bachelor of Architecture, a diploma in Fine Arts and is also accredited in Indian Classical Music. She is currently pursuing a M.S. in Project Management from Harrisburg University.
