Angie Scott
Angie Scott, Ph.D., leads Culturwell as CEO, Principal Design Researcher, and Strategist—partnering with visionary leaders in architecture & interior design, healthcare, housing, and education to reduce stress, strengthen belonging, and elevate well-being through the built environment. Her work is grounded in rigorous research, community wisdom, and tailored education, always honoring both evidence and lived experience.
Dr. Scott is internationally recognized for creating the WELL Equity Rating and guiding inclusion at the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI). Her leadership spans the development of evidence-based industry standards, well-being and inclusive design strategies, and collaborative health equity initiatives impacting organizations and communities worldwide.
Through a salutogenic/preventative health approach and a cultural well-being framework, Angie transforms values of equity and resilience into everyday practice—advocating for spaces that restore, empower, and welcome everyone, bringing clarity, depth, and accountability to all projects. Scott sees the built environment not as a backdrop, but as a catalyst for lasting change, where well-being and belonging are woven into the fabric of every space as core infrastructure through a whole-systems lens.
